10 Indonesian Representatives Ready to Compete on Day Two

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – A total of 10 Indonesian representatives will compete on the second day of the BWF Super 500 Kumamoto Masters 2024 tournament in Japan, Wednesday (13/11/2024).

In the mixed doubles sector, fifth seeds Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja will face home pair Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito in the round of 32. Seventh seeds Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari will compete against Thai pair Supak Jomkoh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai.

Apart from that, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati will also play in the first round and meet the Taiwanese pair Lin Bing-Wei/Lin Chih-Chun.

In women’s singles, 2023 Kumamoto Masters champion Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will meet Japanese player Tomoka Miyazaki.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Korea Masters champion, Putri Kusuma Wardani, is scheduled to face host representative Riko Gunji, and Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi will face Danish player Mia Blichfeldt.

In the men’s singles sector, Alwi Farhan, who started from the qualifying round, will meet French player, Christo Popov, in the main round today.

Fourth seeds Jonatan Christie and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo will also compete, facing Japanese players Yushi Tanaka and Koki Watanabe respectively in the round of 32.

From the men’s doubles number, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani will compete against the Taiwanese pair, Chiang Chien-Wei/Wei Chun Wei.

Currently, four Indonesian representatives have successfully qualified for the last 16 of the Kumamoto Masters 2024, namely the women’s doubles pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, as well as three men’s doubles pairs, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.
