17 Young Football Players Will Study in Portugal

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The Korean organization Korea Selecao (KKS) will send 15-year-old soccer players from Central Java to study, interact, and gain knowledge and experience in Portugal. This was revealed by politician Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (19/9/2024).

“We will conduct a selection of 50 young talents in Central Java by sending 17 young players aged 15 to Portugal to train in Portugal under the guidance of… coach Justin Lhaksana and international coach Abel Xavier who has had extensive experience in European clubs,” said Bambang Pacul.

It was said, there will be a selection to send young footballers to Portugal. “50 talented people will be selected who will then be selected in Semarang on September 21-October 13, 2024. The final selection stage on October 26, 2024, and 17 lucky people will depart for Portugal for 10 days, namely on November 20-30, 2024,” he added.

Bambang added that the name Korea Korea Selecao was chosen for this program because the name is currently popular among young people in Central Java.

“The term Korea selecao is popular in Javanese society and has developed culturally to refer to lower-middle class people who have dreams and hopes of moving up a class. They are people who have extraordinary fighting power to escape the shackles of poverty,” he said.

Through Korea Korea Selecao, they will provide a new experience in Portugal.

Coach Justin Lhaksana revealed that he will select young talents aged 15 years and under from Central Java to study in Portugal with international coach Abel Xavier.

“I will prioritize players who go to Portugal with basic techniques such as good passing and dribbling. Not players who can dribble and score goals, and they will be trained by coaches like Abel Xavier who has been an example of a ‘Korean’ who bounces,” he emphasized.
