2022 World Cup Final Referee Leads Champions League Final Man City vs Inter

– The 2022 World Cup Final Referee, Szymon Marciniak was appointed to officiate the Champions League final match between Manchester City vs Inter Milan in Istanbul, 10 June.

Marciniak is no stranger to big matches after taking charge of the 2022 World Cup Final between France and Argentina last December.

However, this will be the first time for the 42-year-old coach from Poland to officiate in the Champions League final.

This will be the second time in a row he has taken charge of a match involving Manchester City in this competition. Previously he was the referee during Man City’s 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the semi-final second leg earlier this month.

The game was one of eight Champions League matches Marciniak has taken charge of this season.

In the final later, he will be assisted by his compatriots, Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz as assistant referees.
