2024 Kapolri Cup Volleyball Tournament in West Java Begins with Opening Ceremony

Todays gist – The opening ceremony of the 2024 Kapolri Cup Zone 4 volleyball tournament was held on Wednesday (21/8/2024). West Java (Jabar) was the host. The tournament was held at the Pajajaran Sports Hall, Bandung.

The opening ceremony of the tournament that brings together four Polda zones will start at 14.00 WIB. The procession begins with a ceremony, singing the song Indonesia Raya, reading the oath of the referee and athletes, and pressing a button that symbolically signifies the opening of the 2024 Kapolri Cup volleyball. The opening ceremony was also witnessed by the Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo via online broadcast.

The event continued with a performance dancer from the Lodaya Volley Ball Dancers who will demonstrate their dancing skills while carrying a volleyball.

After that, each contingent that will compete is invited to enter the field area. A total of four representatives of both male and female players and officials of the West Java, East Java, Central Java, and DIY Regional Police accompanied by ushers will carry the Red and White flag and the contingent.

Then, there will be other performances that will be shown such as Bratayudha Subang in collaboration with Ega Robot Ethnic Percussion and Sanggar Seni Tari Cantika. Next, the West Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Akhmad Wiyagus will give a speech and symbolic handover of the 2024 Kapolri Cup Volleyball Tournament flag from the regional police chief to the chairman of the organizing committee (Dirlantas Polda Jabar). Not to be missed, the excitement of this opening procession will end with a ball service from the West Java Regional Police Chief accompanied by the Chairman of the Bhayangkari PD Jabar, Forkopinda, deputy regional police chief, deputy chairman

Bhayangkari PD, chairman of the organizing committee, chairman of KONI, and chairman of PBVSI Jabar. After that, all parties will sing together the song Tanah Airku.

At exactly 15.00 WIB, the West Java Regional Police Chief and his staff headed to the honorary tribune to watch the first session of the match. The first match brought together the West Java women’s team against DIY.
