2024 MotoGP Standings After Bagnaia Wins in the Netherlands, Marc Marquez Falling Further Behind
Todaysgist.com, Jakarta- World champion Francesco Bagnaia has managed to close the gap on 2024 MotoGP standings leader Jorge Martin. The Ducati Lenovo rider is still in second place in the standings, but is now only 15 points behind.
Bagnaia successfully approached Martin after appearing very dominant in the 2024 Dutch MotoGP Sprint Race. The Juventus fan was untouchable in first place since the start. Even Martin couldn't get close at all.
Bagnaia now has 165 points. While Martin has already earned 180 points.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez is increasingly behind Martin in the rider standings. Marquez is in third place with a 44-point gap.
Marquez had to accept the bitter reality of failing to get any points at all in the 2024 Dutch MotoGP Sprint Race. The Spaniard fell on the second lap.
Meanwhile, Maverick Vinales successfully improved his position to fifth after finishing third in the 2024 Dutch MotoGP Sprint Race. Rookie Pedro Acosta was shifted by Vinales to sixth.
