7,900 Runners Enthusiastically Join Soekarno Run 2024 at GBK

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – A total of 7,900 runners enlivened the Soekarno Run-Independence sporting event held by the PDIP DPP at the East Parking Plaza of the Bung Karno Sports Complex (GBK) Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (18/8/2024).

The running race which started at 06.10 WIB was held in the context of celebrating the 79th anniversary of Indonesian independence.

“In this running race, there are three categories, namely 17K, 8K and 4.5K. All participants who took part in this running race were very enthusiastic and happy to celebrate independence with something positive, namely running,” said PDI Perjuangan Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at the location.

This Soekarno Run activity was held by taking spirit the struggle of the Proclaimer and first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bung Karno, with the theme “Running on Your Own Feet”.

Not only general participants, this running event with the 17K, 8K and 4.5K categories was also enlivened by dozens of journalists and reporters from various national media, both television, on line to print. Journalists and reporters participated in this event in the 8K and 4.5K categories.

Tama, one of the media journalists on line national expressed their enthusiasm for participating in the Soekarno Run event.

According to him, this activity is a gathering place for fellow journalists outside of their reporting duties and to build relationships by exercising together.

“Soekarno Run is a gathering place for fellow journalists and exercising together outside of reporting duties. This is a positive activity, the enthusiasm of the community is also crowded,” said Tama at the location.

Previously, Chairman Race Management Soekarno Run Echa said for the running route, participants run towards CFD, turn around at Semanggi and will separate before the Senayan Roundabout turn. For the 4.5K category will turn back to the right, heading back to the finish. The 17K from 8K will turn left towards flyover Antasari.

He said his party planned to use flyover Antasari to be the long route. Later, they will turn around at the end back towards GBK.

He also added that the committee would mobilize manpowerr to organize a total of 7,900 runners. Of course, by involving the police, Dishub, and the Party Task Force.

Meanwhile for cut off time The Soekarno Run consists of 17K for 2.5 hours, 8K for 2 hours, and 4.5K for 1.5 hours.

The running race was opened by the Head of the PDIP DPP for Sports and Youth, Eriko Sotarduga and was enlivened by PDIP cadres such as Krisdayanti and others.
