Ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP, thousands of fans hunt for autographs and selfies with racers

Central Lombok, Todaysgist.com – The Mandalika Circuit has once again become a magnet for motorbike racing fans around the world. Apart from watching the thrilling action of the MotoGP racers in action on the track, thousands of spectators also took advantage of this opportunity to hunt for autographs and take selfies with their idol racers.

On the first day of the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, Friday (27/9/2024), the atmosphere around the paddock was very lively. Fans, both local and foreign, looked enthusiastic waiting outside the paddock to get the opportunity to interact directly with the racers.

They brought various kinds of knick-knacks such as posters, helmets and racing suits as well as photos to be signed.

“I’ve been waiting for their opportunity since they finished training and went in to rest,” said Ivan, one of the autograph hunters.

Ivan admitted that hunting for racer autographs had been carried out twice since the Mandalika MotoGP was held in 2022. He is one of the fans who managed to get Jorge Martin’s autograph.

“I have come here twice, the first time in 2022 and I feel quite happy. If I like Jorge Martin, I asked him for an autograph, at first I asked for a photo but he signed at the bottom, chances are he will win at the Mandalika Circuit,” said Ivan enthusiastically.

The phenomenon of autograph hunters in motorbike racing has become commonplace. For fans, getting their idol’s autograph is a matter of pride. These autographs are not only a memento, but also a form of appreciation for the achievements achieved by the racers.
