Anthony Ginting Wants to Win the 2023 Indonesia Open After the Asian Championships

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is determined to bring success in winning the Asian Championship to the 2023 Indonesia Open. However, the Indonesian men’s singles badminton player admits that it will not be easy.

Anthony Ginting won the Asian Championship which took place at the Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Al Nasr Club, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, last April 30. In the final match, he defeated Loh Kean Yew from Singapore with a score of 21-12 and 21-8.

“I want to bring the spirit of success at the Asian Championships and then to the Indonesia Open,” he said at the Indonesia Open press conference which took place via the zoom meeting application.

“However, because all the best players in the world are present, I have to focus on every match and consider every match to be a final. You have to watch out for whoever the opponent is.”

“It won’t be easy, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t chances. Opportunities are there for anyone, if you’re ready and performing well on the field, results will definitely follow,” added Anthony Ginting.

At the 2022 Indonesia Open, Anthony Ginting’s steps stopped in the quarterfinals. The world number two badminton player lost to Viktor Axelsen from Denmark via rubber game with a score of 13-21, 21-19, and 9-21.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting won the 2018 China Open. It turned out that Ginting’s victory marked a new history for Indonesian badminton.
