Arteta felt no need to prolong the matter because he already had other duties to evaluate the match. He said that others can judge for themselves about the referee’s decisions in the match.
“I saw everything and it was very clear, so you can all judge that. I already have the task of solving all problems that occur in the field. It’s not my business to digest the incident,” he said.
Despite the referee’s drama, Arteta said he was proud of his players’ performance at the Etihad Stadium. He saw his players overcome their lack of players during the match.
“The team competed incredibly. I’m very proud of all the Arsenal players. There’s no more difficult and tense situation than playing against one of the toughest opponents in the competition,” Arteta said.
