Arsenal vs PSG Result 2-0, Havertz and Saka Extend the Gunners’ Unbeaten Record Under Arteta

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Arsenal extended their longest unbeaten run under Mikel Arteta to 15 matches (winning 12, drawing three) after beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 2-0 in the 2024/2025 Champions League League phase, Tuesday (1/10 /2024) or Wednesday morning WIB.

Playing at Emirates Stadium, The Gunners Immediately scored the first chance when Bukayo Saka cut in from the right and sent a curling shot that almost tore Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal.

Arsenal finally took the lead in the 20th minute. Leandro Trossard, who sped down the left wing, successfully sent a cross which was met by Kai Havertz’s header.

PSG continued to be under pressure and only had a few opportunities to score a goal back. One of them, when Nuno Mendes’ chance hit the goal post.

The hosts doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 35th minute. Saka’s free kick successfully passed the PSG players and outwitted Donnarumma.

In the second half, Donnarumma managed to prevent Gabriel Martinelli from adding the North London team’s third goal.

PSG seemed to have difficulty facing Arsenal’s defense put together by Gabriel. Mikel Merino entered to make his debut after injury, replacing Thomas Partey.

PSG had a chance through Joao Neves who unfortunately hit the crossbar. Raya also managed to deny Lee Kang-in’s opportunity. No other goals were scored.

This result means that PSG have never beaten Arsenal in five meetings (drawn three, lost two). Next, PSG will face OGC Nice in the Ligue 1 match, while Arteta’s troops will face Southampton in the Premier League.
