Aston Villa Back in Champions League as They Win Away in Switzerland
Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Aston Villa returned to the Champions League after 41 years. The English club’s return to Europe’s top competition was marked by a 3-0 away win over hosts BSC Young Boys in Switzerland, Tuesday (17/9/2024).
Aston Villa took a two-goal lead in the first half through Youri Tielemans in the 27th minute and Jacob Ramsey, 11 minutes later.
After leading 2-0, Unai Emery’s men were able to continue to attack the opponent’s defense. In fact, they were able to shake the goal. Unfortunately, Ollie Watkins’ goal was disallowed by VAR.
