ATVSI Discusses 5G Broadcasting Potential, Explores Challenges and Opportunities in the Broadcasting Industry

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – ATVSI (Indonesian Private Television Association) has just held the ATVSI Business Forum with the theme 5G Broadcasting: Challenge & Opportunity.

According to Deputy Chairman 1 of ATVSI Taufan Eko Nugroho, this forum was held to address the dynamics of the current broadcasting business.

He said that the dynamics of the broadcasting business are currently taking place very quickly in various aspects, starting from business patterns, regulations, systems, to technology.

Therefore, ATVSI held this forum to invite stakeholders to pay attention to this matter.

“Why did we choose the theme 5G Broadcasting? Because, we also see broadcasting technology as one of the most dynamic aspects in its development,” said Taufan when opening the forum at SCTV Tower, Senayan City, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/7/2024).

Taufan said that 5G technology is currently being tested in broadcasting in various countries, such as China, the United States, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, Estonia, and the Czech Republic.

In addition, several countries are currently submitting feasibility studies for this technology to be tested, namely India, Turkey, and Malaysia.

“Therefore, it is hoped that this development can attract the attention of broadcasting stakeholders in Indonesia,” he said.
