AVC U-20 2024 Champion in Surabaya, Iran Collects 8 Titles

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The Iranian men’s national volleyball team won its eighth title at the 22nd Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship (AVC U-20 2024) after easily beating South Korea with a score of 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, and 25-22) in the final at the Jawa Pos Arena, Surabaya, Tuesday (31/7/2024) evening.

In the history of AVC U-20, Iran has been the country that has won the most titles since 1980. Until now, Iran has collected eight AVC U-20 men’s volleyball championship trophies, namely 1998, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2014, 2018, 2022, and 2024.

For individual player awards at this year’s event, out of seven titles contested, Iran won four categories. The rest were won by Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea.

The final match was a repeat of the quarter-finals of the 2024 AVC U-20. At that time, South Korea was defeated by Iran with a score of 2-3. South Korea was ranked second.

In the previous match, Japan managed to occupy third place after winning 3-1 (23-25, 27-25, and 25-20) over Indonesia. The Red and White Team had to be satisfied with fourth place in the 2024 AVC U-20.
