B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, announced this Tuesday (3), the launch of the first negotiation of an RWA (Real World Asset) energy token on an exchange in the country.
The token results from a partnership between B3 and Uinvex, investment platform regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).
In this operation, Uinvex carried out primary fundraising for investments in Saveon Energiaa company specializing in solar energy.
Furthermore, the company hired the platform developed by B3 to allow tokenization and subsequent negotiation of investment contracts, with financial settlement via PIX, traceability and ownership control.
RWA energy token on B3
According to André Sobreira, co-founder of Uinvex, in the real estate sector, the company’s latest offering provided a return of 22% per year, with capital returned to investors.
In the solar energy sector, in turn, current funding has an estimated return of 25% per year. Furthermore, he highlighted that all of the company’s funding were completed in two to six weeks.
Furthermore, Ivano Westin, co-founder of Uinvex, highlighted that the company is the link between investors looking for investments with significant potential returns and quality companies throughout Brazil that are beginning to have access to the financial market.
CVM Resolution 88, updated in 2022, allowed crowdfunding platforms to act as intermediariess in the purchase and sale of securities from companies that make offers on their platforms, called subsequent transactions.
In this context, B3 is responsible for offering the entire infrastructure for tokenization and trading of assets in the subsequent market, while operations continue to be managed by Uinvex, as well as all relationships with companies and investors.
In April this year, B3 announced the official launch of its tokenization platform. Developed in partnership with B3 Digitas, specialized in products for digital assets, the solution is customizable and can suit any crowdfunding platform.
