Bad, Football Prosecutor Asks Juventus to Deduct 11 Points

Italian football prosecutors have asked that Juventus be deducted by 11 points in Serie A this season in a new trial surrounding the club’s transfer transaction case, two sources close to the matter said Monday (22/5/2023).

The prosecutor’s request comes after the 15-point penalty imposed on the club imposed in January was overturned by Italy’s sports governing body, which ordered football authorities to hold a new trial.

The football court’s ruling is expected later on Monday.

With three games left to play this season, including one on Monday night, Juventus are second in Serie A with 69 points, behind this season’s champions Napoli.

The reduction would push Juventus, Italy’s most successful football team, out of the qualifying spots for the lucrative European competition.
