Badminton Players Donate 8 Medals After Hikmat/Leani Wins Gold

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The Indonesian para badminton team contributed eight medals consisting of one gold, four silver, and three bronze in the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Reported BetweenIndonesia’s first gold was presented by the pair Hikmat Ramdani/Leani Ratri Oktila in the mixed doubles SL3-SU5, who won in the final against their compatriots, Fredy Setiawan/Khalimatus Sadiyah who won silver.

Three other silver medals were won by Qonitah Ikhtiar Syakuroh in the women’s singles SL3, Leani Ratri Oktila in the women’s singles SL4, and Suryo Nugroho in the men’s singles SU5.

Meanwhile, three bronze medals were won by the pair Subhan/Rina Marlina in the mixed doubles SH6, Deva Anrimusthi in the men’s singles SU5, and Fredy Setiawan in the men’s singles SL4.

The Indonesian para badminton team has completed all competitions in the 2024 Paris Paralympics, contributing the most medals in the event.

In total, Indonesia has currently collected 12 medals from three sports at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. The other two sports that contributed medals were para athletics with silver from Saptoyogo Purnomo, and boccia who won one silver and two bronze medals from Muhammad Bintang Satria Herlangga, Muhamad Afrizal Syafa, and Gischa Zayana.

In the remaining Paris Paralympic competitions, Indonesia only has para athletics left, bocciaswimming, archery, and weightlifting will compete until September 8.
