Binance joins Cyber Crime Police Stations in Brazil

Binance participated in the 1st National Meeting of Cyber Police Stations, organized by the Special Police Station for the Suppression of Cyber Crimes of the Civil Police of the Federal District.
The event took place on November 26th and 27th in Brasília and brought together police officers from across the country who work in the investigation of cybercrimes.
During the meeting, Renato Bastos, investigations specialist at Binance, was part of the panel on “Asset Seizure, Blocking and Recovery”.
He shared experiences and strategies with representatives of the private sector and public agents, demonstrating the importance of collaboration between companies and authorities.

In addition to the discussions, the event featured talks from important companies such as Kodex, TikTok, Meta, Uber and PicPay. These presentations highlighted how integration between different sectors can strengthen digital security and effectively combat cyber threats.
João Guilherme Medeiros de Carvalho, Chief Delegate of the Special Police Station for the Suppression of Cybercrimes of the Civil Police of the Federal District, highlighted the relevance of the meeting.
He highlighted that partnerships with global companies like Binance are essential for developing solutions and strengthen the investigative capacity of Brazilian authorities.
Renato Bastos added that Binance is committed to cooperating with authorities at all stages of investigations.
In September, Binance launched a page dedicated to user security, available in Spanish and Portuguese for Latin America. The initiative aims to educate and protect users, offering information and tools to detect and avoid scams.
The page includes articles, videos and Q&A sessions with security experts, promoting a safer environment for everyone.
