Meanwhile, OpenAI's popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT, apparently went down last night. This makes users complain because they cannot use the ChatGPT service.

According to the down site detection page, DownDetector, the problem that is often reported regarding ChatGPT down is that the website and application cannot be accessed.

Some users admitted that the service was successful a few hours later, but the majority still complained about the difficulty of accessing ChatGPT.

ChatGPT developer, OpenAI, admitted that the chatbot service had indeed gone down. Through its status page, OpenAI also revealed that it is investigating the cause of the collapse of the ChatGPT service.

Meanwhile, as quoted from Decrypt, Wednesday (5/4/2024), OpenAI's ChatGPT down occurred after the company expanded ChatGPT's GPT-4o access to all users, free of charge. Previously, this service could only be enjoyed by paid ChatGPT users.

For your information, GPT-4o gives ChatGPT the same capabilities as paid users. OpenAI's move to open access to GPT-4o may have caused an influx of users and caused them to flood the servers.
