A 12-year-old child has generated commotion and controversy in the cryptocurrency market with the launch of a memecoin called GenZ Quant (QUANT).
The project, initially seen as a promising initiative, quickly became the target of criticism following the attitude of the creator and the unexpected reaction of the community involved.
The token’s trajectory began with a viral post on the Solana Plays account on platform X. In the post, the young man claimed to have profited US$2,000 before even going to school.
This report, accompanied by a photo of the boy, boosted the popularity of the digital currency. The pump.fun platform, which hosted the launch of QUANT, highlighted the project with the description:

Within hours, the token’s market capitalization soared from $1 million to $85 million.
The community, enchanted by the narrative of a prodigy in the financial market, bought the idea without question. During live broadcasts, the young man demonstrated charisma and promised innovation.
However, after the meteoric appreciation of the token, the creator sold all of his coins, totaling around US$30,000. It then controversially ended the broadcast, disappearing from the internet.
The reaction was immediate. Users analyzed the young man’s wallet movements, revealing that he had created two other tokens, Lucy and Sorry, generating an additional profit of US$24,000.
However, a group of investors joined forces, reviving QUANT’s relevance and increasing its value beyond expectations, creating what many called a “revenge pump” and, in this coordinated movement, investors profited more than US$1 million , exceeding the gains obtained by the creator.
