Coach Asks Indonesian Players Not to Be Afraid of Facing Thailand

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Indonesian women’s national volleyball team coach Chamnan Dokmai asked the players not to be afraid to face Thailand in the second match of the SEA V League in Nakhorn Ratchasima, Saturday (10/8/2024) at 18.00 WIB.

The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team previously lost 0-3 to Thailand in the SEA V League series in Vietnam last week. “Don’t be afraid to face Thailand. Just play freely, don’t have any burden,” said Chamnan Dokmai, the former coach of the Thai women’s national volleyball team.

Chamnan further said that facing Thailand, which is filled with world-class players, is indeed tough. However, he wants Indonesian players to play as well as possible.

He also wants the players not to think about the results of the match.
Chamnan wants the players to reduce individual mistakes that are certainly detrimental to themselves. Like when facing Vietnam in the first match of the SEA V League, Friday (9/8/2024), the Indonesian team made 21 mistakes themselves.

“Twenty-one errors in four sets is a lot. Points were given for nothing to the Vietnamese team yesterday. The girls need to reduce these errors,” added assistant coach of the women’s volleyball team Octavian.

According to Octavian, the Indonesian national volleyball team performed better than in the SEA V League in Vietnam.

He is confident that with longer preparation, the national team’s performance will be even better in the remaining two matches, against Thailand and the Philippines.
