Colored by 1 Red Card and 6 Yellow Cards, Persib Defeats PSIS

Todays gist – Persib Bandung defeated PSIS Semarang with a score of 2-1 in the continuation of the Indonesian League 1 match at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, West Java, Sunday (15/9/2024) night. The match was marked by six yellow cards and one red card.

In the Persib vs PSIS match, Pangeran Biru opened the first goal by midfielder Tyronne del Pino in the 17th minute. Persib’s second goal was scored by Gustavo Franca in the 40th minute. Meanwhile, one goal for PSIS Semarang was presented by Riyan Ardiansyah, four minutes before Persib’s second goal was scored.

With this result, Persib Bandung temporarily rose to fourth place in the Liga 1 standings with nine points, while PSIS still remains in ninth place with six points. Both teams have played five matches.

The first half whistle was blown and Bojan Hodak’s team immediately launched attack after attack.

In the 17th minute, the home team finally opened the scoring through Tyronne’s kick after receiving a loose ball in the PSIS Semarang penalty area, the score changed to 1-0 for Persib Bandung’s advantage.

At the start of the second half, the visiting team managed to dominate the match by breaking through the home team’s defense several times.

The match was quite intense until a number of violations occurred, resulting in six yellow cards (four Persib players, two PSIS) and one red card (PSIS) being issued by the referee.

Eight minutes into the match, the team nicknamed Laskar Mahesa Jenar who was left behind continued to increase the intensity of their attacks. However, the various attacks were anticipated by the Maung Bandung defense line.
