Compact, Mbappe and Salah scored the 50th goal in the Champions League

Bergamo, Beritasatu.com – Two players from different teams, Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) and Mohamed Salah, scored their 50th goal in the Champions League together, Tuesday (10/12/2024) local time or Wednesday (11/12/2024) early morning WIB.

Mbappe and Salah scored their 50th Champions League goals in different matches. Mbappe got his name on the scoreboard against Atalanta, while Salah went against Girona.

Unfortunately, Mbappe was pulled from the field during Real Madrid‘s 3-2 win at Atalanta due to physical problems.

The French striker used control of his left foot to receive a pass from Brahim Diaz, then quickly ran past the opposing defender. He then fired a shot with his foot into the far corner of the goal to give Madrid a 1-0 lead.

At 25 years and 356 days old, Mbappe is the second youngest player to reach 50 goals after Lionel Messi, who was 24 years and 284 days old when he reached 50 goals in 2012.

Mbappe reached that milestone in 79 games, fourth fastest after Ruud van Nistelrooy (62 games), Messi (66) and Robert Lewandowski (77).

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the list of Champions League all-time top scorers with 140 goals and Messi is next with 129 goals.

Mbape left the field at the end of the first half due to a leg injury. He was replaced by Rodrygo.

Meanwhile, Salah only scored his 50th goal in the Champions League when he was 32 years old. This player from Egypt previously joined Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina and AS Roma. Only at Chelsea did he not score a goal in the Champions League.

Judging from his age, Mbappe seems likely to score more goals in the Champions League than Salah.
