DKI Athletes Contribute 68 Medals at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia

The Indonesian contingent is in third place in the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia medal standings with 276 medals. Of these, 68 medals were won by athletes from the capital city (22 gold, 20 silver and 26 bronze).

With this result, Jakarta became one of the provinces that contributed the most medals. It is known that around 129 DKI Jakarta athletes who took part in the SEA Games defended the Red and White flag.

The general chairman of the DKI Jakarta KONI, Hidayat Humaid, said that Jakarta’s success for Indonesia must be instilled in athletes in defending the Red and White flag on the international stage.

“Thank you to all DKI athletes who have fought for red and white. We are committed to the success of Jakarta for Indonesia,” explained Hidayat, Friday (18/5/2023).

Hidayat also thanked the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KONI Advisory Board, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, who took the time to provide direct support to athletes in Cambodia during the SEA Games.

Hidayat asked all athletes to stay focused on maintaining stamina and performance. Because, in the near future there will be a qualifying round (BK) for PON Aceh and North Sumatra.
