Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, made a bold statement during the MENA Bitcoin conference, which is taking place in Dubai on December 9th and 10th, 2024. During the “CZ VIP Session” panel, Former CEO of Binance declared that cryptocurrencies “will rise to the moon”. CZ’s statement comes days after Bitcoin reached the historic mark of US$100,000, on what became known as 100k Day.
During the conversation that lasted about 30 minutes, in addition to showing optimism regarding the gain in value of Bitcoin, Changpeng Zhao made a point of highlighting the utilitarian role of the most valuable cryptocurrency of the moment. When asked by interviewer David Bailey what would be the growth in value of Bitcoin in the coming years, CZ did not want to present an exact number. For him, BTC has the capacity to become an asset of unlimited value. Without being able to set a value for Bitcoin, CZ made a point of highlighting that the cryptocurrency created in 2011 should rise to the moon.
