Failed in Mandalika, Marc Marquez Determined to Rise in Japanese MotoGP

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Failing to finish at the Mandalika MotoGP, Gresini Racing Federal Oil racer Marc Marquez is determined to recover in the 16th series at the Motegi Circuit, Japan, on Sunday (6/10/2024). Marquez who managed to reach the podium at sprint race The 2024 Mandalika MotoGP had to end the main race early due to problems with the motorbike’s engine.

“We won and lost together. We will try again in Japan,” said Marc Marquez, Wednesday (2/10/2024).

This racer from Spain revealed that he failed at Mandalika because his engine was damaged when his motorbike recorded the fastest lap. “I tried to increase the speed, but the result ended like this. Incidents like this can happen and no one is to blame. The team has worked amazingly all weekend,” he added.

Meanwhile, Alex Marquez, Marc’s younger brother, explained about the incident that happened to him after start in Mandalika.

“Someone bumped into me and things like this can happen, but it’s still disappointing,” Alex.

“We lost points in the standings and the opportunity to correct mistakes after the recent accident. There is not much that can be done apart from trying to restore confidence for the race at Motegi,” added Alex.

At the Motegi Circuit, the two Marquez brothers have a good track record with several podium finishes and wins.

Even though they failed to reach the podium in Mandalika, the position of the two drivers in the standings remains stable. Marc Marquez is in fourth position with 288 points, while Alex Marquez is in eleventh position with 121 points.
