Fallen, Putri Kusuma Wardani Fails to Win Taipei Open 2024

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Indonesian women’s singles player Putri Kusuma Wardani lost to Sim Yu Jin from South Korea in the final round of the 2024 Taipei Open badminton tournament.

Playing at the Taipei Arena, Sunday (8/9/2024), Putri KW, as she is known, who was the seventh seed, lost to the player who was seeded in eighth place with a score of 17-21 and 13-21.

On her way to the final, Putri Kusuma Wardani brilliantly defeated the host representative Tai Tzu Ying who was the top seed in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Taipei Open.

Despite pressure from thousands of spectators at the 2024 Taipei Open, Putri Kusuma Wardani won in a tight battle 18-21, 21-16, and 24-22.

However, Indonesia did not return home empty-handed because previously the women’s doubles pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amalia Cahyaning Pratiwi won the 2024 Taipei Open badminton tournament.

In the final round of the 2024 Taipei Open, Febriana/Amalia defeated other Indonesian players, Jesita Putri Miantoro/Febi Setianingrum.

Febri/Amalia, who were the second seeds, won in a straight two-game match 21-15 and 21-16.

Meanwhile, the mixed doubles from Thailand, Pakkapon Teeraratsakul/Phataiimas Muenwong won the title by defeating Yang Po-Hsuang/Hu Ling Fang 21-17 and 21-19.
