Falling at Home, Petrokimia Fails to Satisfy Supporters

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Host Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia collapsed in front of his supporters against Jakarta Livin Mandiri. At home, Petrokimia surrendered 2-3 (25-18, 16-25, 17-25, 25-16, and 8-15) in the PLN Mobile Proliga 2025 at GOR Tridharma Gresik, Friday (10/1/2025).

This victory was the second for Livin Mandiri after last week beating Jakarta Pertamina Enduro 3-1. For Petrokimia, this defeat was the first in the 2025 Proliga.

Gresik Petrokimia coach Ayub Hidayat said, from the game, his team still had many shortcomings in the first match in Gresik.

“Especially the first ball which was not good, ultimately became an obstacle to the team’s game,” he said.

He admitted that foreign player Livin Mandiri looked charming and was a mainstay. “They are dominant. The foreign players are really reliable,” he said.

One of the Gresik Petrokimia players, Maya Indri, said that this defeat would certainly be an evaluation for her team. “In the future, today’s defeat will of course be an evaluation against Yogya Falcons on Sunday,” he said.

Livin Mandiri assistant coach Risco Herlambang said that his team almost lost the match against Petrokimia.

“Petrochemical today actually played well and is different from last year. However, thank God we won today,” said Risco.

Livin Mandiri player Wilda Siti Nurfadhilah admitted that she played happily today. “We just enjoyed the game, and almost all of our players were young but performed quite well,” said Wilda according to the match against Petrokimia in the 2025 Proliga.
