Ferrari Launches 2025 F1 Car Without Holding Lewis Hamilton’s Official Introductory Party

Maranello, Beritasatu.com – Ferrari will launch its newest Formula 1 (F1) car for the 2025 season on Thursday (19/12/2024) in Maranello, Italy. However, they did not hold an official introduction event for Lewis Hamilton, who joined the Ferrari team this season.

The Scuderia team has also not yet set an official date for Lewis Hamilton to debut on the track in a red uniform. The launch event for the 2025 F1 car was only a day after the uniform launch of 10 F1 teams simultaneously in London, a moment that had never happened before.

Ferrari fans are eagerly awaiting the seven-time world champion’s first appearance racing for this legendary team after his move from Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton, who will turn 40 on January 7, replaces Spaniard Carlos Sainz.

Lewis Hamilton’s first test at Ferrari is likely to be at the Fiorano track using a car that is at least two years old, according to regulations.

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur stated that winter weather could affect planning, but he was optimistic that Lewis Hamilton could adapt quickly. “He is not a new racer. “I’m not worried about this,” Vasseur said.

According to him, Lewis Hamilton’s experience was very helpful in undergoing the adaptation procedure. The team will also utilize the simulator for race simulation, qualifying and technical introduction of the 2025 F1 car.

Official testing for the 2025 racing season will begin in Bahrain on February 26-28.

Vasseur emphasized that there would be no special official presentation for Lewis Hamilton, as Ferrari did when Michael Schumacher joined in the 1990s.

“We have to focus on this season. “The schedule is very busy, and we want to ensure the entire team remains focused on performance,” he explained.

Lewis Hamilton will work with a new technician, replacing Peter ‘Bono’ Bonnington who remains with Mercedes. Vasseur revealed that even though he had decided on the technician who would accompany Lewis Hamilton, his identity was still kept secret.

Ferrari’s target is not to imitate Mercedes’ work model. “We will not copy the Mercedes system. They haven’t been champions in the last two or three years. We will find different ways according to our resources,” added Vasseur.

Vasseur also touched on Hamilton’s efforts to learn Italian, which he considered important for team communication even though it had no direct impact on performance. “I’ll be Lewis’ Italian teacher,” Vasseur joked ahead of the launch of the 2025 F1 car.
