Flairene Candrea Becomes the Bearer of the Red and White Flag at the 2023 SEA Games

In the parade, the Red and White flag was carried by a swimming athlete who won a gold medal in the 100 meter backstroke at the 2021 Vietnam SEA Games, Flairene Candrea Wonomiharjo.

“It’s an honor and of course I’m very happy to be able to represent Indonesia in Southeast Asia by carrying the Red and White flag. This is an opportunity I can’t turn down. Anyway, I’m very proud,” said Flair, Thursday (4/5/2023).

Swimming athlete, Flairene Candrea Wonomiharjo, was chosen as the flag bearer for the Indonesian contingent at the opening ceremony of the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia.

“Apart from that, this SEA Games is also a springboard for our Indonesian team to welcome the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 2024 Paris Olympics. These have all been a long journey of achievement for Indonesian athletes starting from the SEA Games in Cambodia,” concluded Lexy.

SEA Games Cambodia is the 32nd edition. This is the first time Cambodia has hosted a multi-event sports solidarity event in the ASEAN region.
