Former Indonesian League Referee from Iran Leads Indonesia vs Japan Match
Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Iranian referee Mooud Bonyadifard will officiate the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between Indonesia vs Japan at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) Jakarta, Friday (15/11/2024) at 19.00 WIB. Bonadifar will be assisted by Saeid Ghasemi and Alireza Ildorom, as well as Payam Heydari.
Bonyadifard was born on 8 September 1985 in Iran. He has been a FIFA licensed referee since 2013 and has contributed more than a decade to the international refereeing scene.
Bonyadifard’s experience is very extensive, covering various prestigious events, such as World Cup Qualification, Asian Elite Champions League, Asian Champions League 2, as well as the Asian Cup for senior and U-23 national teams.
Interestingly, Bonyadifard served in the Indonesian League in the 2017 season. He took charge of three matches in the Indonesian League involving several big clubs in the country. His experience in various competitions reflects the trust placed by the AFC in his performance.
However, his decisions in the Indonesian League at that time are still remembered by many football fans in Indonesia.
In 2017, Bonyadifard officiated an important match between Persija Jakarta and PSM Makassar. This match received attention because one of the decisions became controversial because it disallowed Wiljan Pluim’s goal from PSM due to handball.
Apart from that, when he was a referee in the Indonesian League, Bonyadifard also officiated the Arema FC vs Persib Bandung and Bhayangkara FC vs Sriwijaya FC matches.
