Free ChatGPT is getting more sophisticated, DALL-E 3 can be accessed by everyone

On the other hand, OpenAI has also just introduced an AI-powered search engine called SearchGPT.

Quoting The VergeSunday (28/7/2024), SearchGPT is claimed to be a tough competitor for Google Search.

While search engines usually only display a series of links, SearchGPT is different, as it seems to have its own brain that can understand the meaning of human questions.

For example, if you ask about a particular music festival, SearchGPT will not only give you a list of links, but also give you a short summary of the festival, complete with a link to the original source. Sophisticated, right?

In addition, SearchGPT can also provide visual answers, so you can immediately see images or videos that are relevant to your search.

What’s even cooler is that you can keep asking questions after the search results appear. So, the search process will be more interactive and less confusing.

However, SearchGPT is still in the development stage, aka prototype. So, only a few people can try it.

According to OpenAI spokesperson Kayla Wood, the search engine service is powered by the GPT-4 model and is currently only accessible to 10,000 testers when it was announced.

“OpenAI is working with third-party partners and using live content feeds to generate its search results. The goal is to eventually integrate live search features into ChatGPT,” Wood said.
