(G)I-DLE Apologizes After Using Red Cross Logo Randomly on Stage Costumes
Todaysgist.com, Seoul – Wanting to appear cool, (G)I-DLE actually reaped controversy because of the inappropriate use of the organization’s logo. Reported from The Korea Times, Tuesday (22/7/2024), it started with Jeon So Yeon et al’s appearance on the music show Music Bank on KBSlast Friday, performed the song “Klaxon” which became comeback their latest.
(G)I-DLE looks sexy according to the summer concept in comeback their latest, with a sleeveless top that says “Lifeguard” and hot pants. It’s just that the quintet’s stage costume uses the Red Cross logo on the chest.
This immediately caught the attention of netizens, who strongly suspected that the iconic logo was used without permission. (G)I-DLE’s agency, Cube Entertainment, immediately issued an apology for the incident.
“We are aware of the issue regarding the stage costume and have contacted the Korean Red Cross Society to apologize. We are actively consulting to prevent a recurrence of similar incidents and taking further action regarding the unauthorized use of the Red Cross emblem,” the agency said in a statement, as reported by Allkpop.
Added, “We sincerely apologize to all parties who felt uncomfortable.”
