Goals by Nambu and Mbarga Lead Bali United to Defeat Semen Padang

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Goals scored by two foreign players Kenzo Nambu and Privat Mbarga led Bali United to a 2-0 victory over Semen Padang in the continuation of Liga 1, Sunday (18/8/2024) at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali.

Japanese player Kenzo Nambu scored the home team’s first goal in the 51st minute. Another foreign player Privat Mbarga from Cameroon also contributed a goal when he scored in the 54th minute.

Bali United’s second win in the Liga 1 competition this season has temporarily put them in first place with six points. Two other teams, Borneo FC and PSM Makassar have also won six points in the two matches they have played.

Meanwhile, Semen Padang is still sitting at the bottom of the standings after losing their first two games. They have now conceded four goals in two games.

Bali United coach Stefano Cugurra alias Teco installed a 3-4-3 formation in the second week of Liga 1. Everton Nascimento, Rahmat Arjuna, and Mbarga were placed in the attacking line.
