Quoting its official statement, Sunday (21/5/2023), since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 the company has taken efficiency measures by closing several Gunung Agung bookstores spread across several cities, such as Surabaya, Semarang, Gresik, Magelang, Bogor, Bekasi. , and Jakarta.

“We are not only closing shops/outlets due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, because we have implemented business efficiency and effectiveness since 2013,” wrote the board of directors of PT GA Tiga Belas.

The company also said that the reason for the efficiency and effectiveness of the business was to strive to maintain business continuity and overcome business losses due to problems with operating costs that were not comparable to the achievement of sales each year.
