Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The schedule for the 2024 AFF Cup or ASEAN Cup has been prepared. This football championship between countries in Southeast Asia will be held from 8 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. This football championship will be attended by ASEAN member countries and consists of 10 teams.

Participants have been drawn into two groups, namely groups A and B. Group A consists of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor Leste. Meanwhile, group B consists of Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.

Each team will play four times, two at home and two away against teams in their group. The champion and runner-up of each group have the right to appear in the semifinals. In the last four rounds of the ASEAN Cup, the winners of Group A will meet runner-up group B. Meanwhile the winner of group B competed against runner-up group A.

This year’s AFF Cup is the 11th edition of the championship. Thailand is the team that has won the most titles, namely seven times. Meanwhile, Singapore became champion in four editions. Vietnam has been champion twice. While Malaysia once.

Indonesia has never been a champion in this championship. Garuda troops have been there six times runner-up This biennial championship, namely in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2016 and 2020.

In the 2024 AFF Cup schedule, the Indonesian National Team will have its first action in the 2024 AFF Cup championship on 9 December 2024 by visiting Myanmar’s headquarters at Thuwuna Stadium, Yangon. Asnawi Mangkualam and friends will then host Laos at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on December 12 2024.
