Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The China Open badminton championship will be held on September 17-22, 2024. This is one of the most prestigious championships held by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

The China Open is a BWF Super 1000 level event and offers a total prize of US$ 2 million or equivalent to Rp 30.7 billion. The 2024 China Open will be held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China.

The men’s singles champion will receive US$ 140,000 or equivalent to Rp 2.2 billion. Meanwhile runner up get US$ 68,000 or Rp 1 billion. Those who lose in the semifinals get US$ 28,000 (Rp 430 million), the quarterfinals get US$ 11,000 (Rp 169 million), the top 16 get US$ 6,000 (Rp 92.2 million), and the top 32 get US$ 2,000 (Rp 30.7 million).

Meanwhile, the doubles champion will take home a prize of US$ 148,000 (Rp 2.27 billion). The doubles who became runner up earned US$ 70,000 (Rp 1.76 billion). The losing pair in the semifinals earned US$ 28,000 (Rp 430.4 million), the quarterfinals US$ 12,500 (Rp 192.3 million), the top 16 US$ 6,500 (Rp 99.98 million), and the top 32 US$ 2,000 (Rp 30.75).

The winner of this competition will receive an additional 13,500 points. Meanwhile runner up earned 11,500 points. The losers in the semifinals got 9,500 points, the quarterfinals 7,400 points, the last 16 5,400 points, and the last 32 3,300 points.
