Hungary Assistant Coach Adam Szalai Was Rushed to Hospital During the Match Against the Netherlands in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Beritasatu.com – Hungary assistant coach Adam Szalai was rushed to hospital (RS) during the Nations League match against the Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Sunday (17/11/2024) early morning WIB. However, according to the Hungarian Football Federation, Adam Szalai is now in stable condition.

Before he was taken to hospital, television footage showed Hungarian staff members and reserve players looking worried and immediately gathering around where Adam Szalai was sitting on the bench.

The Hungarian Football Federation said in a statement on X that Szalai was stable and conscious after being taken to Amsterdam Hospital by ambulance.

In this match, Hungary had to recognize the greatness of the Dutch hosts. Hungary surrendered 0-4 in the League A Group 3 Nations League match. The four goals were scored by four different players, namely Wout Weghorst via a penalty kick in the 21st minute, Cody Gakpo in the 42+12 minute also via a penalty kick.

The other two goals were provided by Denzel Dumfries in the 64th minute and Teun Koopmeiners, five minutes before the match ended.

So far, there has been no official statement from Hungary regarding the illness suffered by Hungarian assistant coach Adam Szalai and he had to be rushed to hospital.
