THE Hyper Foundationresponsible for supervising the platform Hyperliquidcovered in detail the recent reviews about configuring your network validators. The main accusations involve the alleged purchase of seats for validators and the alleged lack of decentralization of the platform.
The network Hyperliquidbuilt on a Layer 1 blockchain, currently operates with 16 validators. In response to concerns, the foundation published a statement on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying that it selected all validators based on their performance in the testing phase.
The Hyper Foundation acknowledged discussions on social media and reaffirmed its commitment to decentralization. As part of this commitment, it announced that the validator pool will grow as the network develops.
Additionally, the foundation implemented a token delegation program to incentivize high-performing validators and increase decentralization.
Hyperliquid provides clarification
Among the community’s other concerns are the use of closed-node code and reliance on a single binary system. In this regard, the foundation defended its approach, stating that the current priority is to maintain security and stability. However, it assured that it will open source in the futurewhen it is safe to do so.
The token HYPElaunched in November 2024, experienced a significant increase after its airdrop, reaching US$35.73 in December of the same year. However, since then, fell by around 40%currently trading at around $21.
The token has a market value of US$7.3 billion, with a fully diluted valuation above US$21 billion, according to data from CoinGecko.
