I am happy at Real Madrid

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Carlo Ancelotti responds to the issue of becoming AS Roma coach in the future. According to him, he still feels at home at Real Madrid.

AS Roma has changed its coach twice this season. At the start of the season they were handled by Daniele De Rossi. However, the hero of the Italian national team when they won the 2006 World Cup was kicked out and replaced by Ivan Juric.

AS Roma fired the Croatian coach again and appointed Claudio Ranieri as the team architect. Under the direction of the 73 year old coach, AS Roma has not performed satisfactorily. AS Roma is now scattered in 10th position in the Italian League standings after drawing 1-1 against AC Milan, Tuesday (30/12/2024) early morning WIB.

Carlo Ancelotti is under contract with Real Madrid until 2026, but recent reports in Italy have linked him with a move to AS Roma in the summer. Ancelotti appeared at the Italian capital club as a player and won the Serie A title in 1982/83.

“There are rumors about moving to AS Roma, but I am very happy with Real Madrid,” Ancelotti told Radio Anch’Io lo Sport, as quoted Il Messaggero. “I’m trying to stay here as long as possible at Real Madrid,” he added.

Ancelotti emphasized that Claudio Ranieri, who now coaches AS Roma, is his friend and that the former Leicester City coach is doing very well at Giallorossi.

“Obviously, I have strong ties to Roma, where I have great memories, but that is easier said than done. “For now, I’m happy here, and I’m not thinking about my future,” said Carlo Ancelotti.

According to Ancelotti, he has a two-year contract with Real Madrid, but the contract can be terminated or extended.

Last month, Ranieri was appointed as Roma’s third coach for the 2024/25 season. Although Ranieri will leave his post at the end of the season and enter the management of AS Roma. The coach, who has also managed Chelsea, will provide input on the decision to replace him at AS Roma.

Ancelotti confirmed that Real Madrid is monitoring the talent of Como Nico Paz, a product of the Merengues academy. The talented Argentinian joined Como on a permanent contract last summer, however Los Merengues has a buyback clause they can activate in 2025 or 2026.

“We continue to monitor Paz. He is a very talented player,” added Ancelotti, as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio. “I think he will benefit from this season outside Madrid. We believe he can be Real Madrid’s future,” said Carlo Ancelotti apart from commenting on the AS Roma coach.
