Solo, Todaysgist.com – Persis Solo coach Milomir Seslija admitted that he did not know what else to do to overcome the problems that still surround his players until they again got bad results when hosting Persik Kediri in the continuation of the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season at Manahan Stadium, Solo City, Central Java, Monday (23/9/2024).

“I think everyone could see what happened on the pitch today. Football is a cruel thing because when we have to chase the victory to get a better result, we concede a goal,” said Milomir Seslija in a press conference after the match.

According to the Bosnian coach, just like what happened when playing against Persebaya Surabaya, PSIS Semarang, PSMS Makassar, and when playing against Persik Kediri, Persis had to work hard. However, when there was a momentum of error and the Persis squad did not know what to do to overcome the problem.

Regarding the defeat against Persik Kediri who only played with 10 players in the second half, Milo said it was caused by many misunderstandings and the lack of good organization among the players. This was further compounded by the presence of undisciplined players.

The 60-year-old coach admitted that two consecutive defeats in the last two matches were bad results. He did not want to find any excuses because whatever was done, the result was that Persis Solo lost.

“We lost twice at home, it’s a bad thing and we don’t want to find excuses or justifications. But there’s still something we have to do. We don’t have the option to give up. We have to get up for the next game,” Milo said.

Meanwhile, Persik Kediri coach Marcelo Rospide said that despite winning over the host, he admitted that Persis Solo was not an easy opponent to beat. This was evident during the first half.

“In the first half we actually had a chance, but we couldn’t implement what we had done during training plus Persis Solo who appeared to be pressing. Then in the second half some of our players were sent off so we had to change our strategy. However, in the end we got a positive result by getting three points,” he concluded.
