I’m a little depressed and don’t remember the match
Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Legendary boxer Mike Tyson finally opened his voice regarding his defeat to Jake Paul in the fight which took place on November 16 2024. Quoted The SunSaturday (28/12/2024) boxer with the nickname Iron Mike was a little depressed after losing to a social media star who was 31 years younger than him.
“I feel a little bit depressed. I have been training for nine months for this fight,” he explained.
Until now, Mike Tyson admits that he has never once watched the match again. Not only that, he doesn’t even remember what happened when he beat Jake Paul for 8 rounds.
“I kind of lost consciousness. I haven’t rewatched the fight. All I remember is going back to the corner after the first round and seeing Jake do some kind of salute. That’s the last thing I remember. I didn’t feel tired or sweaty,” he said.
Mike Tyson admitted that the match did not meet his expectations. Apart from feeling depressed, he understands that many people, especially his fans, are disappointed because he lost.
For Mike Tyson, the fight with Jake Paul actually made him a little depressed, so it was a valuable experience. Moreover, he sees that Jake Paul is not a boxer who can be taken lightly even though he is a content creator.
“Having my kids watch me stand up and finish eight rounds against a talented fighter half my age in front of a full stadium at the Dallas Cowboy was an incredible experience. Thank you for everything,” he concluded.
