Indomaret Challenges Lavani in the Livoli Final

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Indomaret Sidoarjo men’s volleyball team challenged Lavani Navy in the 2024 Livoli Premier Division grand final, Saturday (23/11/2024).

Indomaret confirmed their progress to the 2024 Livoli final after defeating TNI AU Electric with a score of 3-1 (25-16, 21-25, 25-11 and 25-19) in the closing match of the second round of the 2024 Livoli Main Division final four at GOR Petrokimia Gresik , Wednesday (20/11/2024) evening.

With this victory, Indomaret finished the top four of Livoli 2024 at the top with a score of 13, with four wins and two losses.

Indomaret shifted Lavani, who fell to second place with a score of 11, from four wins and two defeats.

In the last match, Lavani had to acknowledge the greatness of defending champion Rajawali Pasundan with a score of 0-3 (22-25, 21-25 and 18-25).

Pasundan actually has the same record of wins and losses as Indomaret and Lavani. However, their final score was only 10.

The meeting between Indomaret (2022 Livoli champion) and Lavani (2023 Livoli finalist) in the 2024 Livoli final will be the fifth duel this season. Both scores were equally strong, 2-2.

Lavani Navy assistant coach, Erwin Rusni, said that the 2024 Livoli final match will be fierce because both teams already know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

“Indomaret has attacks with fast balls, apart from serving they also press. Those are some things we need to anticipate. In terms of mentality, I think it’s the same,” he said.

Meanwhile, Indomaret Sidoarjo coach Iwan Dedi Setiawan said that the two days of rest would be used for physical recovery and finalizing strategies for the 2024 Livoli final.
