Indonesian National Volleyball Team Becomes 4th Runner-up of SEA V League 2024 First Round

Todaysgist.com, Jakarta- The Indonesian men’s national volleyball team managed to take the runner-up position in the first round of the 4th SEA V League 2024 after beating Vietnam 3-2 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Manila, Philippines, Sunday (18/2/2024).

In the final match of the first round, the Red and White team defeated Vietnam through a five-set drama, 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 and 15-12).

In this match, the duo of Jakarta LavAni players, Boy Arnez and Fahri Septian, became the top scorers for Indonesia. Boy and Fahri contributed a total of 22 and 21 points respectively.

Meanwhile, Vietnam got the majority of points from Tran Duy Tuyen and Pham Van Hiep’s actions by collecting a total of 22 and 19 points respectively.

By defeating Vietnam, Dio Zulfikri and his friends have bagged two wins in the 2024 SEA V League. Indonesia suffered one defeat when competing against Thailand and secured two wins when meeting the Philippines and Vietnam.

The first round of the 2024 SEA V League title went to Thailand, who secured three consecutive wins after just overcoming the Philippines’ resistance. With this achievement, Thailand was uncatchable by Indonesia in second place after securing a total of nine points from three matches.
