Indonesian Swimming Team Wins 56 Medals at SEA Age Group Championship

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Indonesian Swimming Team succeeded in winning 56 medals in the Southeast Asian championship SEA Age Group Swimming Championships 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, 6-8 December 2024.

SEA Age Group 2024 competes in three sports, namely swimming, diving and artistic swimming. The swimming team contributed 48 medals, while the artistic swimming team contributed two silver medals and three bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the diving team won one silver medal and two bronze medals. Indonesia’s swimming sport collected 23 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 17 bronze medals.

Head Coach of the Indonesian Swimming Team, Albert Sutanto, explained that one of Indonesia’s successes was in SEA Age Group Championship 2024 contributed by the beautiful and young swimmer aged 13 years, Adelia Chantika Aulia. He won 8 gold medals and male swimmer Jason Donovan Yusuf (17 years) with three gold and one bronze.

“The SEA Age Group is an initial picture of the map of Southeast Asia’s swimming power in the future. So we must continue to prepare and develop it from an early age. We will evaluate what is missing,” he explained to journalists on Monday (9/12/2024).

In the standings SEA Age Group Championship 2024the Indonesian Swimming Team is in third place. Host Thailand is in first place with 43 gold, 50 silver and 39 bronze and second is Vietnam with 27 gold, 25 silver, 16 bronze. Malaysia ranked fourth with 7 gold, Singapore fifth with four gold and the Philippines sixth with one gold.
