Indonesian Women’s National Volleyball Team Replaces 2 Players

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team replaced two players in the SEA V League which took place in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, August 9-11, 2024.

The two players who were replaced were setter Tiara Sanger and Aulia Suci, who plays as an open spiker. They were replaced by setter Tisya Amalia and Nurlaili Kusuma.

Tiara and Aulia played in the SEA V League in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam last week. They were reserve players, while Tisya and Nurlaili have not played at all because they just joined the team in Thailand. Both of them just arrived from Jakarta on Wednesday (7/8/2024).

Now, in the SEA V League in Thailand, Tiara Sanger and Aulia Suci have been replaced. Despite being replaced, they are still training with their teammates.

According to the assistant coach of the Indonesian women’s volleyball team, Octavian, the substitution of players was to change the attack pattern. In the SEA V League last week in Vietnam, Indonesia did not win at all from three matches.

“We want change, therefore replacing the toser and open spiker. With those two changes, there will definitely be changes in the team, such as increased striking power,” said Octavian.

To face the SEA V League in Thailand, according to Oktavian, his team practiced counter attacks on Thursday (8/8/2024). “We practice defense and attack. We fix those two things today. There have been many changes in the players’ performance,” he said.

Octavian hopes that the Indonesian team can improve its performance when competing on the field.
