Inspired by Susi Susanti, Thalita Ramadhani is determined to pursue badminton as a way of life

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Playing badminton since the age of five, Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan believes that badminton is her way of life after reading about Susi Susanti’s journey to become the women’s singles gold medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

He admitted that the process he underwent was very difficult and long, there were always ups and downs every year, until he was finally called to become a primary athlete at the PBSI National Training Center at the end of December 2024.

“I am very happy. “I didn’t expect to be able to enter Pelatnas,” said the daughter who was born in Surabaya in September 2007 in an interview with PP PBSI’s Public Relations Division (6/1/2025).

Thalita started her long journey in badminton when she entered the PB Winner Badminton Club in Surabaya in 2014. After that, in 2017, she moved to Jakarta and trained together for seven years at PB Jaya Raya.

This women’s singles player has felt the difficulty of maintaining consistent achievement in her journey as a junior player.

“I always try in every national circuit competition to be the best. However, when it comes to important matches like PON and national championships, I can’t do my best. I failed every game. “I then tried to evaluate and train harder,” said Thalita.

Apart from Thalita, a number of athletes who were selected as primary women’s singles athletes were Ruzana, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari, Chiara Marvelia Handoyo, and Deswanti Rainsih Nurtertiati. They will train under the guidance of coaches Ade Lukas and Prasetyo RB.

Thalita entered the PBSI National Training Center in Cipayung, East Jakarta, starting December 23 2024 with so many hopes.

“My hope is to always do my best in every match. “I also hope to win in every tournament I participate in,” concluded Thalita.
