Inter Miami Draw Again, Messi Gets Lowest Score

New York City, Todaysgist.com – Club Inter Miami returned to draws in the American Soccer League (MLS). Against hosts New York FC, Inter Miami was held to a 1-1 draw, in the match on Sunday (22/9/2024) afternoon WIB.

In this match, star player Lionel Messi got the lowest score of 5.8.

Messi was given the full game against New York City FC, but he did not shine as the fans had hoped.

The Argentine forward’s only significant movement was a pass down the left wing, creating the conditions for Jordi Alba to cross inside for Leonardo Campana to open the scoring in the 75th minute.

Site Worldsport gave Messi a score of 5.8, the lowest of any player on the pitch. “Messi played a poor game considering his standards and his performance in the last game against Philadelphia. He had the ball in key situations, but didn’t create anything,” the outlet wrote.

Messi’s score was also the only 5 on the team’s squad. The second lowest score was another Inter Miami striker, Robert Taylor with a 6, while Luis Suarez had a 6.1. Goal scorer Campana came on as a substitute for Taylor and was given a 7.4 score.

The highest scorer in the match was Santiago Rodriguez of New York City FC with 8.5 points. The Uruguayan winger had four shots on goal and provided the assist for the equalizer in the 90+5 minute. The equalizer, James Sands, had the second highest score with 8.1.

This is Inter Miami’s first consecutive draw after previously being held 2-2 by Atlanta United.

Inter Miami still leads MLS with 64 points after 30 games, eight points ahead of second-placed Columbus Crew who have a game in hand.
