Isak’s header between Newcastle defeats Arsenal

Newcastle, Beritasatu.com – Alexander Isak’s header led Newcastle United to overthrow Arsenal in the Premier League continued, Saturday (2/11/2024).

There was a big contrast to Newcastle’s winning goal in the same game last season, when Gordon scored a stoppage-time winner that was cleared after three VAR checks. This made Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta furious and called the decision “very embarrassing.”

Arteta could not complain about this defeat, as Arsenal rarely threatened and looked less creative when Martin Odegaard was absent due to injury.

Declan Rice had the best chance in the third minute of injury time but his header went wide after receiving a cross from Bukayo Saka.

This defeat means Arsenal could be eight points behind leaders Manchester City, who visit Bournemouth later.

Arsenal is currently gaining 18 points and is in third place in the Premier League standings. Newcastle is in ninth position with 15 points.
