It's getting hotter, SM Entertainment is suing CBX-EXO

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The problems between SM Entertainment and EXO's Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin are getting more complicated. Until now, they seem to be defending themselves and suing each other.

Starting from a distribution tariff agreement. EXO's CBX agency, INB100, claims that the personnel are only charged an album and music commission rate of 5.5 percent to SM. In contrast, SM said, “Chenbaeksi (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) voluntarily signed an agreement to pay 10 percent of sales.”

Well, now reported by Sports World, SM has finally decided to take the case to legal action. Exactly on Wednesday, June 12 2024, the company filed a lawsuit at the Seoul Eastern District Court.

SM is said to no longer be able to tolerate Chenbaeksi's actions which he feels are unreasonable, as he said in a statement shared a few days ago.

This was confirmed by an SM official. “It's true that we have submitted a complaint (against Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin or CBX-EXO) to court,” he said. “We will respond according to applicable laws and principles,” he stressed.
