Jorge Martin Becomes the First Independent Rider to Become MotoGP World Champion

Jorge Martin, a racer from Spain, became champion after securing 508 points. He is 10 points ahead of Bagnaia, the Italian racer who is in second place in the 2024 MotoGP final standings.

Martin broke the dominance of the factory team which has always been world champion since the MotoGP era. Prima Pramac is the first independent team to win the MotoGP world title.
